| Nationwide Focus Groups: Two hour moderated group discussions with targeted audiences |
Focus Groups are an invaluable tool for researching the beliefs,
perceptions, awareness, knowledge and behaviors of targeted populations
(anywhere from 2 to 3 people at a time called dyads and triads, to 10 people
in a dynamic group discussion). IDCC has both in-house focus group
facilities, including a comfortable viewing room with one-way mirror for
sponsors of studies to observe their focus groups anonymously, as well as
nationwide focus group set-up and coordination services. Transcriptions,
audio, video, translation (if needed) and written summary/full reports are
also provided.
Two of the most popular uses of focus groups
are to help develop specific
programs, initiatives, campaigns and projects, and to describe,
define and
flesh-out research issues before developing a quantitative survey
instrument
(questionnaire).
Nationwide services
We can schedule, recruit, coordinate and moderate anywhere in the
United States.
Total moderating and recruitment services
IDCC can provide multi-cultural and bi-lingual moderators (Caucasian,
African-American, Hispanic, Haitian, Asian, and others), as well as recruit
respondents in all age groups and demographics anywhere in the U.S. (young
children, pre-teens, teens, students, young adults, older adults, seniors
and the elderly)
We provide or arrange focus group facilities
Focus group facilities can either be professional facilities
with a two-way mirror such as the one at our offices in Gainesville,
Florida, or simulated professional focus group set-up at a hotel
or conference center at designated cities when no professional
location
is available.
Focus group coordinating
For each focus group study we direct, we develop a specific respondent
sample list and recruit respondents matching project criteria. Typically
12-14 are recruited for 8-10 to show and participate. We videotape
and audiotape all groups for future documentation and review.
IDCC provides an on-site greeter/coordinator
to set-up the focus group environment and assist moderator and
clients
in observing groups and paying monetary incentives to respondents
after the group discussions. Prior to the group discussion, IDCC
services may include respondent screening, development and translation(s)
of the focus group discussion guide if needed, on-site coordination,
monitoring, and refreshment provisions at all focus group locations.
Focus group results reporting
IDCC provides comprehensive full reports with executive summaries
of focus group studies, key findings, conclusions and recommendations,
and verbatims (specific quoted remarks of respondents which best
exemplifies how they perceive, respond to, and do things). When
studies include multiple focus group sessions, IDCC provides comparative
analysis between age groups, ethnicity, genders, locations,
etc.
Presentation of findings at conclusion of study can also be made
in person to supplement written reports. |
